mirabelle studio constructs all its memory boxes by hand. The boxes are made from book binding board and covered in various fabrics and papers. Each box is finished with distinctive beads, charms or sayings so no two boxes are exactly alike. In addition, every mirabelle studio piece is stamped, signed, dated and numbered.
Many of the papers used in the studio are from eco-friendly plants that naturally regenerate so forests are not depleted in the process. These handmade papers, often produced in village communities, also provide an income for the paper crafting families.

family keepsake box
includes wooden 1" feet
Covered in natural and lime colored banana papers. The paper is made from the waste bark of the banana tree. The bark is cut after the fruit has ripened. Each box is also decorated with birds, animals and insects running around and under the tree.
